hallman
Hallman
was born and raised in a small Wisconsin town in 1962. She
attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where
she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Over the years Hallman
has experimented with hundreds of materials which have contributed
to her creative journey. Folk art influences from her rural
upbringing often flavor her work. The results being a wonderfully
unique process using dry earth pigment as her primary medium.
Her final creations evolve from simple childlike figures
into deeply complex layers of color and texture.
