Maimon

Born in Israel in 1951 to French-speaking parents, Isaac Maimon attended the Anvi Institute of Fine Art in Tel Aviv where his interest in the Paris school was cultivated and advanced. In Paris from 1978 to 1980, Maimon’s style was defined by the “boulevard culture,” that so intrigued Bonnard, Lautrec and other artists before him. Teaching since 1980, he has instructed at the School of Visual Arts in Beer-Sheba, the Kaye Art Academy and is currently an art professor at the Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheba.
